Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Bulk Participants for JSM processes and stores information when used with Jira Service Management Cloud.
Data processed
The app processes Jira Service Management request information needed to identify selected requests, discover existing Request Participants, preview requested changes, and apply authorized participant changes.
Data stored
The app may store limited operational information including:
- Atlassian account IDs for the acting user
- Atlassian account IDs for selected Request Participants
- Jira issue keys
- Operation type
- Timestamps
- Operation and result metadata
The app does not intentionally store:
- Email addresses
- Display names in Forge storage
- Request descriptions
- Comments
- Attachments
- Passwords
- API tokens
- Raw Jira API payloads
Why data is used
Stored information is used to support previews, authorized bulk operations, short-term operational history, error handling, privacy obligations, and safe operation of the app.
Where data is stored
App data is stored using Atlassian Forge-hosted storage. Bulk Participants for JSM does not use an external application backend, external database, third-party analytics service, or advertising platform.
Retention
Preflight data used for Preview and Apply has a maximum usable lifetime of 15 minutes and is removed when consumed, expired, or cleaned up.
Operation history is retained for up to 30 days and is then removed through the app's retention cleanup process.
Atlassian personal-data lifecycle
Because Atlassian account IDs may be stored, the app uses Atlassian's Personal Data Reporting API to support Atlassian privacy lifecycle requirements.
When Atlassian reports that an account is closed or that stored personal references require updating, the app removes retained references associated with that account. The app also performs cleanup of retained app storage during uninstall.
Data sharing
The app does not sell personal data and does not provide stored app data to advertising or analytics providers. Data is processed within the Atlassian platform as necessary to provide the app's functionality.
Security
The app is designed around least-privilege access and uses Atlassian Forge platform services for hosting and storage. Access to Jira data remains subject to the permissions of the signed-in Atlassian user.

Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app or its data-handling practices change. The current version will be published at this URL.
