Installation and first use

Configure and run a readiness gate.

ReadyCheck is a read-only monday.com Board View. It evaluates the board you are viewing and stores ReadyCheck configuration and governance records without editing monday board items.

Prerequisites

  • A monday.com account with permission to install or use the ReadyCheck app.
  • A board containing the items, groups, status columns, and ownership information that define readiness.
  • Permission to view the board data ReadyCheck will evaluate.
  • For configuration changes, appropriate access to the ReadyCheck Board View.

Installation

  1. Install ReadyCheck

    Use the official ReadyCheck installation link provided on getreadycheck.com. Before Marketplace approval, the link may be limited to authorized test accounts.

  2. Add the Board View

    Open the target board, add a view, choose installed apps, and select ReadyCheck.

  3. Open ReadyCheck on the target board

    ReadyCheck reads the current board context automatically and keeps each Board View’s records isolated.

First-time configuration

  1. Choose the gate approval item

    Select the board item whose owner and approval status control the final gate.

  2. Map deliverables and issues

    Choose the board groups ReadyCheck should inspect for completeness and blockers.

  3. Map required columns

    Select the status column and any column that must contain an owner or other required value.

  4. Review status rules

    Confirm which status labels count as accepted and which labels prohibit readiness.

  5. Save the Board View configuration

    Save only after reviewing the mapping. Configuration is isolated by monday account and Board View.

  6. Run the first readiness check

    ReadyCheck evaluates the current board and displays the decision, evidence, and any blocking items.

Understanding results

  • Ready: every configured requirement passes.
  • Not ready: one or more requirements fail or the gate approval is incomplete.
  • Evidence: each rule explains its evaluated scope and identifies failed items when applicable.
  • Refresh: rerun the scan after board data changes to evaluate the current state.

Free and Pro capabilities

Free access includes configuration, current scans, detailed current results, and reading existing records. Pro adds reusable templates, immutable scan-history snapshots, written waivers, approval snapshots, and related governance workflows. Existing records remain readable after a downgrade.

Email support@getreadycheck.com. Include the visible error message, browser, approximate time, and the steps that produced the issue. Do not include passwords, API tokens, private keys, or unnecessary confidential board content.
